In leading the Agility in Mind team, Andrew brings focus to the needs of our existing and potential clients and ensures we have our own strategic framework to achieve sustainable, profitable growth. He provides the environment and supports our team, as experts in their field, to deliver the best service possible to our clients. By formulating new propositions, establishing new service lines and securing new clients, Andrew provides leadership from the front.

This is built on a career in technology from software engineer, business management and consulting across all sectors. The greatest reward for Andrew is seeing the efforts of the Agility in Mind team result in competitive advantage for our clients.

Edward Scotcher

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Ed is a leading digital product delivery transformation expert, agile coach, speaker and author who helps organisations improve the way they work by removing the obstacles that get in the way of delivery. He specialises in Lean & agile coaching, training and consulting with a particular emphasis on helping senior teams navigate business change in an effective and sustainable way.

Ed’s hands-on approach brings depth and colour to the practical application of the theoretical, helping organisations, teams and individuals develop the confidence to take ownership of the adoption of new ways of working.

Michelle Meakin

Business Services Director

Michelle was once described as the glue that holds the team together and as such, tries hard to live up to expectations.  She enjoys a challenge, helping people, making and consuming gin! With a background in business management and administration, Michelle thrives when very busy in a role that provides a lot of variety, so working at Agility in Mind is perfect for her.

Prior to joining the team, Michelle worked for various sized organisations, spent over a decade in the education sector and spent a year working in the USA.   These varied experiences help Michelle to understand the challenges and complexities any organisation faces when looking to change.

Duncan Evans

Head of Learning and Development

Duncan is an experienced software product delivery consultant and trainer. As an early adopter of Agile techniques such as Scrum and Kanban, Duncan has helped dozens of organisations to implement effective delivery systems, in media, online retail, publishing, finance, and more. At scale, Duncan has worked with several global software delivery organisations, training hundreds of staff in techniques including Scrum and the Scaled Agile Framework SAFe, helping them to deliver large scale distributed products.

Duncan’s current focus is the product management of learning and development for agility.im. As learning needs evolve in digital product organisations, there is a need to respond to shifting demand through innovation and customer focus.

Duncan is recognised as a leader in agile product delivery, and is licensed to teach certified classes for Scrum.org, Scaled Agile (SAFe), and British Computing Society (BCS).

Paul Grew

Head of Coaching

Paul is the Head of Consultancy, leading the coaching practice as well as providing hands-on coaching to several of our clients. Paul’s coaching is deep-rooted in his passion as a 2nd Dan black belt martial arts instructor, having discovered the secrets of successful martial arts equally apply to agile teams: focus on the basics; train hard and constantly strive for improvement.

Paul started his career as a software developer in intelligent algorithms to command and control systems. He later worked in various leadership positions from scrum master, software development manager, programme director and further broadened his domain experience in the telecoms and pharmaceutical industries.

Brian Carman

Operations Director

Brian is an experienced digital portfolio and programme manager and has worked in sports, retail, education and entertainment sectors. A skilled scrum master in his own right, Brian has also recruited, managed and coached teams of scrum masters.

Brian has also introduced Lean and agile approaches, such as Kanban, when managing digital portfolios, improving the visibility and flow of the work. He enjoys working with people to find practical solutions to challenging problems with their delivery of digital products.

Ilektra Kanaki  

Agile Coach

Ilektra started her career in Aerospace, implementing data analytics in a data processing platform. This role got her close to the in-house software development team, which was going through an Agile transformation at the time. Helping that team to improve the product gave her the opportunity to join the team as a Product Owner for the platform. She got introduced to new ways of working and agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban. Her passion in enabling teams led her to become a Scrum Master for a variety of products. She has since worked for different industries, Finance in particular as a Delivery Manager and Agile Coach for software development teams.

As an agile coach Ilektra enjoys observing the change in the teams and businesses she’s working with, focusing on understanding what drives people’s behaviours, what helps them to achieve their goals on their agile journey, making sure the right approach is selected to meet their targets. Ilektra has worked with various frameworks in the past, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and she enjoys finding practical and specific solutions to ensure success.

John Harrison

Agile Coach

John has worked in project and change management for nearly fifteen years.  Using his enthusiasm for agile and lean he has developed, transitioned and mentored teams and individuals, often in the face of resistance, to help them improve their productivity and delivery performance.

John’s main interest lies in supporting people to unlock their full potential, through coaching and training, and in expanding his knowledge of the psychology behind adult learning. What drives him most is creating eureka moments, seeing people fully understand a new concept and how it can help them, whilst ensuring they get enjoyment out of the learning experience.

Geoff Goddard

Agile Coach

Geoff started his career as a software developer in financial and insurance systems and subsequently specialised in configuration management. During a period of 12 years in New Zealand he worked for an international consultancy at NZ Telecom and then in the education sector. He managed delivery teams and moved into change and project management. On his return to the UK, Geoff worked at Southampton University and the Government as an agile coach where he helped departments implement better ways of working and deliver value faster.

As a qualified management and agile coach, Geoff enjoys helping individuals at all levels understand and use the appropriate agile frameworks to support and complement their own innate common sense and natural ways of working. In the training environment Geoff always generates a sense of fun and enthusiasm to create a stimulating interactive learning space.

Jess Edwards

Marketing Manager

Jess has a background in retail and has been working in the industry for the last decade. She has specialised in retail management and has developed skills in order to develop a team and lead from the front.

During her time in retail, Jess studied at Cardiff Metropolitan University completing a degree in Marketing Management. She believes that continuous learning is key in order to develop personally and professionally.

Jess has a keen eye for detail, and she enjoys being creative in her spare time by spending time on personal crafts.

Amara Hunt

Admin Assistant

Amara has spent many years working in administration and customer relations within the travel industry. She thrives with a dynamic and varied work schedule, where no two days are the same and often enjoys the admin tasks most people would avoid.

Amara is always keen to learn new skills and has an interest in marketing and project management.

Jim Snape

Agile Coach

Jim Snape is an experienced change & delivery professional, who has worked across both customer operations and digital transformation, with 15+ years of experience in IT. Jim also has experience in Lean management & Kanban and is qualified as a PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) & Professional Scrum Master (PSM).

Jim has worked across a wide range of clients from start-ups to multinational organisations and enjoys mountain biking in his spare time, and spending time with his family.

Helen Garcia

Agile Coach

Helen is an Agile Coach and Qualified Cognitions & Behavioural Coach. She has been working in change projects for 15 years, starting on the railway building simulated environments in training centres and has moved across various industries from pharma, print and technology amongst other adventures. The common denominator of success and learning surrounds communication between people, technology and process.

Helen is committed to understanding the behaviours behind individuals and teams that drive motivation to continuously improve. She believes in meaningful change by fostering a culture of recognition, inspection, and adaptation. She advocates a helpful, learning mindset to move away from rule-based thinking that can inhibit individuals and teams.
