Name: Jess Edwards
Role: Marketing Manager
The Journey with Agility in Mind
I joined Agility in Mind in 2019 as the Marketing and Admin assistant. I applied for a part-time role but was lucky enough to secure a full-time position. My role supported Michelle with admin duties, booking courses, booking venues, answering the phone, and I started with small social media jobs. Over time, I started learning more about google analytics, SE Ranking, and other marketing tools to support the marketing duties. I would spend time with Andrew and Michelle getting to know WordPress and the backend of the website to help create pages to add new content.
I started watching tutorials, webinars, how-to videos to develop my skills which helped me take on more responsibilities within the organisation. I started designing brochures, webpages, content, logos, creating events, and much more to help support the company and the team.
18 months after I joined Agility in mind, I was promoted to Marketing Manager!
What experience have you gained working at Agility in Mind?
Before joining Agility in Mind, I didn’t have physical marketing experience. My previous role was in retail, so my knowledge was largely in customer services which supported my admin duties. I have a degree in Marketing Management which is why I wanted a marketing role and the job with Agility in Mind seemed to be a great opportunity to support my development.
I have gained experience with WordPress to support the website, Adobe to support content creations from videos, pictures, logos, and any other assets the team may need and continued to develop my marketing skills to launch new projects.
What do you enjoy about working for Agility in Mind?
Agility in Mind is a very supportive company. They help develop people and support you to grow into a path you want to know more about. Over the two years, I have been with Agility in Mind, I have learned so much and I’m excited about our new US venture and how the company will grow even further.
What are your goals for 2021?
I am currently doing a digital marketing course with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), so my goal is to complete that.
Also, we are looking to grow the Agility.us domain in North America which we launched in May. We have lots of ideas for Agility in Mind to grow which is quite exciting, so a lot is going on for the future of Agility in Mind.
